NSTF launched the official programme of the NSTF Science Expo 2013 on 14/3/13 which dates marked the 9th edition of the European Science Day for Youth. Francis Stivala, Secretary General of NSTF spoke about the various initiatives taken by NSTF over the past years to further encourage students and youth to further study science subjects.
Karl Agius, NSTF Science Programmes Coordinator spoke about the programme of this years' science expo which includes lecture-demos from 5 foreign science communicators, lecture-demos from local academics, and a display of various projects developed by local students. The winners of all the contests will participate in international and European events. The event will take place between 15th and 19th April at MCC, Valletta and an open day will be held on 14th April. Present for this launch was also newly appointed Minister for Education and Employment the Hon. Evarist Bartolo who spoke about the importance of Science and Technology in our society and also promised NSTF support in the initiatives taken up by the foundation.
